In this role, I have had the opportunity to create and write in multiple capacities. I have created curriculum, written speeches, publicly presented at multiple community events, presented learning materials which I created, was a contributing member of a grant writing team, spearheaded multiple fundraising campaigns, written profiles for a recruitment team in my previous district, streamlined digital communication and platforms to connect with parents, students, and community members, organized community engagement events, led multiple content creation teams, written policy, bylaws, and technical materials for multiple organizations within the school districts I have worked for in my eight years as an educator.
HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC COACH

At first glance, a coach seems unlikely to have experience in technical and creative writing. However, as as a coach of multiple sports over the years, I have had the opportunity to strengthen my verbal and written communication skills vastly.
Writing press releases, athletic profiles, reports, conducting interviews, attending recruitment meetings, presenting at coaching clinics, hosting community events, assembling tournaments, coordinating logistics including transportation, budget, lodging, travel, and schedules all require an individual who can effectively communicate with a multitude of entities that are involved with sports organizations.
ASPIRING NOVELIST
April 2020
During the height of the pandemic, I found myself with actual free time for the first time in years. In the silence of the world, I sat down and my first novel poured out of me. It was rough, unedited, and raw, but I accomplished 75,000 words in under one month. Over time, I began to polish and massage the rough patches, and I finally have a product that I feel comfortable trying to find a literary agent and publisher to help me make a dream a reality.
